Product description

Lvyuan sintered pe filters use a sinter material with a molecular weight of 3 million or more. After being sieved, the pressure inside the mold with internal and external mirrors is placed in the sintering furnace at a certain temperature.

A certain sintering holding time, made from baked out, baked, and film, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene has better acid and alkali resistance than ordinary polyethylene.

Below 80 °C, its acid and alkali resistance is comparable to PTFE, and its rigidity and flexibility are better than those of ordinary polyethylene. Hole forming mechanism: Similar to powder metallurgy porous materials, microspores are formed by bridging between particles.

The micro-diameter structure is a labyrinth structure with multiple holes superimposed to form the final filter aperture.

Sintered Pe Filter Proper usage or Effective application

Lvyuan sintered polyethylene PE pipe or plate can be used for vacuum filtration, pressure filtration, or gravity filtration. In order to use this product well, the following points must be mastered:

01
Correct selection of filtration parameters (optimum filtration pressure difference, filtration speed, filtration area, etc.) means that a small test to determine the design parameters must be carried out in advance.
02
According to the requirements for filtration in production and the characteristics of porous PE media, the mechanical structure of the filter should be correctly designed.
03
According to the characteristics of different materials, different regeneration operation procedures should be formulated.
04
The PE Sintered Filter should be equipped with a certain volume of air bags (one air bag can be used for several filters) for back-blow slag removal and back-blow regeneration. The back-blow pipeline should be thicker and the back-blow valve Ball valves or cocks should be used, the blowback speed should be fast, and the blowing time should not be long, generally no more than 1 second, otherwise the compressed air will be wasted.
05
There must be certain operating procedures during use, especially at least 5–10 minutes of low-pressure (0.3-05) kg/s filtration at the start-up stage. It is forbidden to reach the normal operating pressure as soon as it is started; otherwise, the capillary pores will be blocked too quickly, which will significantly reduce productivity.

Porous Plastic Filter
How are sintered plastic porous filters manufactured?

Sintered plastic porous filters are manufactured through a process of molding, sintering, and machining. This involves compacting the polymer particles into a desired shape, heating them to a specific temperature to fuse the particles together, and then machining the filter to achieve the desired dimensions and surface finish.

What is Porosity in Filtration?

Porosity, in the context of filtration, measures the pores on the filter surface, determining its efficiency and capabilities. Higher porosity indicates more open structures (pores), allowing maximum flow with minimal pressure drops.

However, it's crucial to note that a higher porosity rate doesn't necessarily guarantee greater efficiency. When selecting the right material for your porous metal filter, consider aspects such as pore size, pressure drop, temperature resistance, and strength.

• Size of Pores: Micron rating is crucial. A material rated at 5 microns will likely stop particles of 5 microns or larger.

• Pressure Drop: Choose a material with a minimum pressure drop for uniform flow.

• Temperature Resistance: Analyze the material's capability to perform efficiently under specific temperatures.

• Strength: Opt for a filter with the strength to withstand changing environmental conditions.

Can sintered porous filter discs be customized?

Yes, sintered porous filter discs are highly customizable. You can specify pore sizes, material preferences, disc diameter, and other parameters to meet the unique requirements of your application.

Are sintered porous filter discs suitable for sterile filtration?

Yes, sintered porous filter discs can be designed for sterile filtration applications, especially when made from materials suitable for high-temperature and chemical sterilization methods.

What types of polymers are used to manufacture sintered plastic porous filters?

Common polymers used in the production of sintered plastic porous filters include polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), among others.

What are Porous Metal Filters?

Porous metal filters stand as specialized filtering tools employed in applications where conventional filtration equipment falls short. Typically, metals undergo a sintering process, transforming them into porous or powdered structures, ensuring a more effective filtration process.

Technically, sintering is a metallurgical method applied to solidify metals or alloys into a powdered form. This involves heating the metal or alloy below its melting point to create an intense solid structure with a specific number of pores.

Here are some main types of porous filters used across various industrial applications:

• Sintered Porous Metal Filter: These filters boast pores for effective filtration and are crafted to withstand high pressure and mechanical stress. Manufacturing involves sintering plastic and high molecular polymer powder at elevated temperatures.

• Porous Stainless Steel: Utilizing grade 316 steel, these high-performance filters offer excellent pressure and temperature resistance, ideal for harsh conditions.

• Porous Discs: Shaped as filter discs, these filters are designed with precise pore sizes and numbers for efficiency in specific applications.

• Sintered Metal Filter: Tailored for high industrial and commercial demands, these filters accommodate the effective filtration of gases, liquids, and semi-solids.

• Porous Bronze Filter: Manufactured with spherical bronze powder, these filters excel in noise reduction and turbulence-proofing, making them a reliable choice across various industries.
